Terms & Conditions
Welcome to MARU La Palma! Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing an order.
1. Scope of Application & Corporate Information
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of handcrafted accessories and bags through the website maru-lapalma.es. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Conclusion of Contract & Orders
The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order. Each piece is unique and handcrafted; minor variations in texture, color, or finish compared to the product images are a characteristic of artisanal manufacturing and do not constitute a defect. The contract is concluded when you complete the purchase process and receive an automated order confirmation via email.
3. Prices, Currency, and Payment
All prices are stated in Euro (€). Since MARU La Palma operates from the Canary Islands, specific local tax regulations (IGIC instead of IVA/VAT) or customs duties for international shipping may apply depending on the destination country. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address. We accept secure payments via the payment methods specified during the checkout process.
4. Shipping, Delivery Conditions, and Customs
Since our bags (such as the Blossom Bag) are meticulously handcrafted in our manufactory, processing and production times may vary. Standard shipping times from the Canary Islands to mainland Spain or the EU usually take around 5–14 business days. For deliveries outside the Canary Islands (including mainland Spain, the EU, and international destinations), the recipient may be subject to local import taxes, customs duties, or handling fees. These are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
5. Right of Withdrawal & Returns
In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days from the day you (or a third party named by you) received the goods, without giving reasons. The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been custom-made, personalized, or altered according to your specific requirements. To exercise your right, you must inform us via email. The buyer bears the direct cost of returning the goods. The items must be returned unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
6. Warranty and Liability
We provide the legal warranty for conformity of goods according to Spanish and EU consumer law. Please note that natural wear and tear, or damage caused by improper care, overloading, or incorrect handling (e.g., incorrect use of the strap system) is excluded from the warranty.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on maru-lapalma.es, including text, graphics, logos, images, and product designs (such as the Blossom Bag and the strap system), is the intellectual property of MARU La Palma. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. For any disputes arising from or related to these terms, the competent courts of Santa Cruz de La Palma, Spain shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection regulations dictate otherwise.
