Maru-La Palma at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida 2024 – Island Craft Meets International Fashion

From October 3rd to 5th, 2024, Gran Canaria hosted a new edition of the Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, the only professional swimwear runway show in Europe. Co-organized by IFEMA Madrid and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the event brought together both established and emerging brands from Spain and abroad.

Maru-La Palma made its debut at this prestigious event, showcasing a curated selection of their iconic Blossom Bags – handcrafted handbags made on the island of La Palma. The collection complemented several swimwear looks on the runway and drew strong interest from the fashion media, buyers, and visitors. With a minimalist design and rooted island identity, Maru-La Palma’s creations offered an elegant take on sustainable accessories.

Held at Expomeloneras, the final day of runway shows featured standout collections from brands such as Diazar (La Palma), Aurelia Gil, Kamilla Belmont (Sweden), and Melissa Odabash (UK). International top model Stella Maxwell served as the event’s ambassador, appearing both on the runway and at the awards ceremony honoring the most outstanding collections of the year.

By joining the Gran Canaria Swim Week, Maru-La Palma reaffirmed its commitment to authentic, island-made fashion with international reach and timeless design.
